Jacques Playe was appointed Global Head of Packaging and Product Development for L’Oréal in November 2019. He is responsible for L’Oréal’s packaging design and innovation, as well as product development processes.
Prior to this, Mr. Playe was L’Oréal Research and Innovation Chief Technology Officer, in charge of gathering technological expertise and leading the operational development teams of Personalized Beauty and Instrumental Cosmetics. He oversaw L’Oréal’s Digital and Instrumental Technologies and the R&D Transformation program.
From 2007 to 2011, he managed L’Oréal’s Operations Information Systems Department, implementing a worldwide global supply chain transformation program.
A graduate of The École Nationale Supérieure d’Arts et Métiers, Mr. Playe began his career working for Unilever as Packaging Engineer in 1987. He joined L’Oréal shortly after, building on his experience in packaging and industry as production and plant manager.
