Customers are increasingly looking for more sustainable and bio-based solutions in Personal Care. Nouryon is a key supplier of DME (Dimethyl Ether) as an aerosol and is actively innovating to bring sustainable solutions to the market. Nouryon has developed a green DME which is based on a bio-based methanol source and this way we are able to move away from fossil sources which are traditionally used in aerosols. Our solution follows a Mass Balance approach with certification in place which allows customers to rely on the bio-based claim and formulate more sustainable aerosol products. In addition, Nouryon is also a member of a R&D partnership with amongst others research institute TNO and other industry players to develop a future DME from recycled carbon, green hydrogen renewable energy.
