D\u2019autant plus qu\u2019il cristallise des sentiments contradictoires chez les consommateurs : d\u2019une part, une certaine mauvaise conscience \u2013 43%\u00b2 des 18-34 ans d\u00e9clarent \u00e9prouver de la culpabilit\u00e9 quand ils font certains achats \u2013, d\u2019autre part, le d\u00e9sir d\u2019une exp\u00e9rience enrichie.<\/p><p>Les sp\u00e9cialistes du packaging font aujourd\u2019hui face \u00e0 un double enjeu. Le premier est de proposer des emballages durables qui doivent passer du statut simple contenant \u2013 appel\u00e9 \u00e0 devenir un d\u00e9chet \u2013 \u00e0 celui d\u2019un v\u00e9ritable objet. Le second enjeu consiste de proposer aux clients une exp\u00e9rience luxueuse, y compris dans des circuits de distribution qui ne le sont pas. La technologie joue \u00e0 ce titre un r\u00f4le cl\u00e9. Comment\u00a0? En mariant le produit physique \u00e0 un environnement digital enrichi, assorti de multiples services associ\u00e9s. Il ne s\u2019agit pas d\u2019innover pour simplement \u00e9blouir le consommateur. Il faut envisager l\u2019emballage comme une porte d\u2019entr\u00e9e vers l\u2019\u00e9cosyst\u00e8me de la marque, compos\u00e9 de services associ\u00e9s, pouvant varier selon la p\u00e9riode, la localisation ou l\u2019identit\u00e9 de l\u2019acheteur, de fa\u00e7on \u00e0 personnaliser son exp\u00e9rience. C\u2019est aussi pour la marque un bon moyen de ma\u00eetriser le retour sur investissement de ses campagnes et de conna\u00eetre davantage ses clients.<\/p><p>Le leader mondial du secteur, L\u2019Or\u00e9al, a quant \u00e0 lui fait le choix d\u2019une technologie bien connue du grand public, le QR code, pour tisser un lien entre ses 7 milliards de produits vendus chaque ann\u00e9e et l\u2019univers num\u00e9rique. Un fois l\u2019emballage scann\u00e9, le consommateur acc\u00e8de aux ingr\u00e9dients, \u00e0 des guides d\u2019utilisation, aux instructions \u00e0 suivre pour assurer sa recyclabilit\u00e9 Il peut m\u00eame \u00e9changer avec des experts pour un accompagnement personnalis\u00e9. De quoi r\u00e9pondre aux attentes de consommateurs toujours plus exigeants, soucieux de la qualit\u00e9 des produits et intransigeant sur la s\u00e9curit\u00e9 et la transparence. Pour pallier ces inconv\u00e9nients des emballages traditionnels, les principaux acteurs de l&rsquo;industrie de l&#8217;emballage consacrent des sommes importantes au d\u00e9veloppement de solutions d&#8217;emballage innovantes et de nouvelle g\u00e9n\u00e9ration. Il est n\u00e9cessaire que les fabricants d&#8217;emballages int\u00e8grent des solutions d&#8217;emballage intelligentes gr\u00e2ce auxquelles les consommateurs pourront suivre, tracer et rechercher des informations sur le produit. Une grande marque de boissons, Coca-Cola, est pass\u00e9e \u00e0 l&#8217;emballage intelligent en proposant des \u00e9tiquettes NFC (Near Field Communication) imprim\u00e9es \u00e9lectroniquement sur ses bouteilles.<\/p><p>La demande d&#8217;emballages interactifs augmente \u00e0 mesure que de plus en plus de marques, notamment dans le secteur des aliments frais et des produits de grande consommation, adoptent des technologies d&#8217;emballage intelligentes et modernes comme la RFID, les capteurs avanc\u00e9s, l&rsquo;intelligence artificielle et l&rsquo;apprentissage automatique. L&rsquo;intelligence d&rsquo;une \u00e9tiquette intelligente peut \u00eatre un simple code QR.<\/p><p>En 2021, Avery Dennison a annonc\u00e9 son partenariat avec la marque de v\u00eatements UpWest et l&rsquo;innovateur en mati\u00e8re de revente de v\u00eatements ReCircled pour exploiter les \u00e9tiquettes d&rsquo;entretien num\u00e9riques d&rsquo;Avery Dennison afin d&rsquo;augmenter la r\u00e9utilisation des v\u00eatements. Les \u00e9tiquettes contiennent un code QR qui renvoie \u00e0 une application expliquant comment un v\u00eatement particulier a \u00e9t\u00e9 fabriqu\u00e9, comment il doit \u00eatre entretenu et, enfin, o\u00f9 il peut \u00eatre envoy\u00e9 pour \u00eatre recycl\u00e9. Elles ont \u00e9galement tout int\u00e9r\u00eat \u00e0 estomper les fronti\u00e8res entre packaging, IT et production, en int\u00e9grant des profils experts au sein de leurs \u00e9quipes m\u00e9tiers. Et ce, pour en finir avec les silos et encourager une \u00ab fertilisation crois\u00e9e \u00bb au service de l\u2019innovation.<\/p>\n<p>Ce d\u00e9fi de taille porte en lui de nombreuses opportunit\u00e9s pour les acteurs du packaging.
