FAVINI Srl
À propos de nous
Favini is a leading global producer of graphics specialties, natural fibres-based (cellulose, algae, fruits, nuts, leather, textile etc.), for the packaging of luxury and fashion industries.
Upcycling is a key element in Favini’s philosophy: Favini has in its DNA the principles of the circular economy and creative reuse. It is these two important aspects which from an environmental perspective, has led the company over the years to seek out alternative solutions using by-products as the precious raw material in the production of low impact and ecological quality papers, such as Alga Carta, Crush, Remake and – recently – Refit.

We produce Crush with renewable energy and we offset unavoidable emissions. Crush is FSC™ certified, recyclable and biodegradable!

It is the board game Kamizumo, which literally translates as “Paper Sumo” and is the paper version of the most famous sport of the Land of the Rising Sun.

Remake
Remake paper is made from the discarded residue of the leather manufacturing process and is a revolutionary example of ‘upcycling’. The dictionary definition of ‘upcycling’ is to reuse discarded objects or materials in such a way as to create a product of higher quality or value than the origin. Remake is leather ‘upcycling’ on an industrial scale and represents the latest frontier in upcycling in the paper sector. This unique and innovative paper replaces 25% of wood tree pulp with leather residues. Remake is not only a unique paper made of leather. It’s also 100% recyclable and perfectly suited to luxury printing and packaging. The residues, which are visible on the surface, give the paper its distinctive look and its amazing soft and velvety feel. Favini won at the European Paper Recycling Awards 2017 for Remake. Favini received the award at the European Parliament in Brussels. The award winning paper Remake, created by an upcycling process, confirms itself at the top of luxury packaging as shown by the choices of Louis Vuitton, Benetton and Vivienne Westwood.
