Our skin must be protected from the sun, and to do so, safe and reliable sun care products are required. Hardford has successfully developed suncare solutions to meet the market's demands:

Removal of film formers which are classified as SPMs (microplastics) -
These are commonly used worldwide today to give water or sweat resistance to sunscreens. They will be banned from 2029 in leave-on cosmetics products, but they are already considered as something to avoid in sunscreens for many customers and consumers.

Transition from chemical to physical filters -
This was predicted to become a major game changer some years ago but the classifications of both titanium dioxide and zinc oxide have clearly slowed down the demand.

Long-range UVA protection -
UVA rays cause premature ageing of the skin, while UVB rays are responsible for burns and tanning. Both increase your risk of skin cancer. Long UVA rays are a subgroup of UVA that penetrate skin especially deeply and cause issues such as dark pigment spots, sun allergy and premature ageing. Effective protection must filter out UVA, UVB and long UVA.
