In December 2023, our prestigious jury from brands including KAO, Beiersdorf, Unilever and many more came together to judge the ADF Innovation Awards. The finalists and winners of the ADF Innovation Awards were announced, recognised and applauded at ADF Paris, part of Paris Packaging Week 2024.
FEA Aerosol Technology of the year
Please describe the brief for the pack. What were the objectives for the innovation project? What were the requirements and constraints?
We were asked by our customer (PUIG) to manufacture an aerosol can with a 360° metalized effect, for its new make up product named SHIMMER BOMB.
How did the pack fulfil the brief? Please describe the technical innovations in the pack and the challenges they address.
ENVASES GROUP offers, since 10 years, a Hot Stamping technology that is fully integrated on the production line (worldwide exclusive to date). Until now, we had used it to print names, logos or symbols, but for the first time we printed a 360° strip around the entire circumference of the bottle, thus mastering all the technical difficulties that this generates.
Why do you believe this pack deserves to win an Innovation Award?
ENVASES GROUP is the only company to offer a fully integrated Hot Stamping process on its automated production line, and this new product from RABANNE pushes the limits of what we can achieve, demonstrating that for the first time, we can apply a foil to the entire circumference of the bottle, with a good level of quality, good protection of the printing (overvarnished), and a level of quality compatible with the criteria of a very prestigious brand.
