Koehler Paper and Wimbée unveil the first 100% cardboard and paper aerosol cap

In a groundbreaking step towards sustainable packaging solutions, Koehler Paper, part of the Koehler Group, has partnered with French cardboard packaging manufacturer Wimbée to develop the first aerosol cap made entirely of cardboard and paper.

The newly developed cap is made using Koehler NexCoat® Smart, a flexible packaging paper renowned for its exceptional laminating, shaping, and printing properties.

This packaging solution was created for Héritage, an industrial company known for marketing furniture care products under the O’Cedar brand.

Koehler NexCoat® Smart offers high fold-crack resistance and improved printing capabilities, ensuring a premium look and feel while also facilitating the recycling process.

Koehler NexCoat Smart is ideally suited to the challenge of creating a greener and, in particular, recyclable alternative to standard caps. It is made of renewable raw materials and can be re-used multiple times within the established paper recycling process,” exclaimed Bettina Bastien, Brand Owner Manager for flexible packaging paper at Koehler Paper.

By offering a fully recyclable solution, Koehler Paper and Wimbée are setting a new standard for eco-friendly packaging, demonstrating how innovation and collaboration can drive positive environmental change.
