Sonsie bets on sustainability as the industry pulls back

As many beauty brands scale back their environmental commitments, Sonsie, the skincare line launched by Pamela Anderson, is choosing to put sustainability at the core of its strategy.

Recently appointed as head of Sonsie, Chemical Engineer and seasoned Entrepreneur Kailey Bradt is bringing fresh momentum to the skincare brand founded by Pamela Anderson. Drawing on her background in sustainable innovation, she has launched a standout first initiative: Adapt Cream, a multifunctional moisturizer packaged in a compostable jar made from Vivomer, a bio-based material that mimics plastic and is derived from the fermentation of plant waste. This move is part of a broader environmental strategy: Sonsie is certified plastic negative and promotes full transparency throughout its process, from production to point of sale.

“I feel responsible to educate people that we do have a solution now that is the same quality as virgin plastic,” says Kailey Bradt. “You’ve got to touch and feel this thing. You wouldn’t believe it’s not plastic. I think we needed to show people that we can do better, and here’s proof.”
