Inspiring the Future of Packaging: Luxury, Innovation, and Sustainability
As a key event in packaging design and innovation, Paris Packaging Week annually brings together the brightest minds in cosmetics, premium beverages, aerosols, and luxury.
In 2026, the major conferences will provide an in-depth look into the journeys and insights of these four visionary figures: Kilian Hennessy (KILIAN PARIS), Kelly Massol (Les Secrets de Loly), Jacques Playe (L’Oréal), and Vitalie Taittinger (Champagne Taittinger). Their individual paths reflect unique and complementary approaches to balancing excellence, meaning, and emotion, showcasing the power of design to inspire, unite, and transform.
From exceptional perfumery to legendary champagne, from inclusive cosmetics to sustainable packaging innovations, these four iconic figures will share their convictions, experiences, and vision for the future of packaging.
Kilian Hennessy, Founder & Creative Director, KILIAN PARIS: Redefining Fragrance as a Cultural Artform
A descendant of the renowned Hennessy family, Kilian Hennessy grew up immersed in a tradition of excellence and craftsmanship. After a successful career at Dior, Armani, Alexander McQueen, and Paco Rabanne, he founded KILIAN PARIS in 2007, revolutionising contemporary perfumery.
A visionary, he placed sustainability at the heart of luxury long before it became mainstream. KILIAN PARIS bottles are refillable, and the cases are designed as collector’s items. His ambition: to elevate perfume to the status of an art object, with bottles designed to last and be passed down through generations.
Kelly Massol, Founder of Les Secrets de Loly: Championing Diversity and Empowerment in Beauty
Self-taught and passionate, Kelly Massol founded Les Secrets de Loly in 2009 at a time when textured hair was largely overlooked by the beauty industry. What began as a personal project soon became a cultural and entrepreneurial movement, driven by a clear vision: to celebrate natural beauty, diversity, and the power of simple ingredients.
Today, Les Secrets de Loly is a benchmark for clean beauty, distributed in over 1,000 retail outlets and supported by a loyal community. Kelly represents a new generation of entrepreneurs who combine high standards, creativity, and social responsibility.
Packaging plays a pivotal role in this success story. Each product embodies the brand’s unique identity through a colourful, positive, and inclusive world that celebrates all forms of beauty. For Kelly, packaging is a narrative tool, designed to enhance sensory and emotional experience, while addressing eco-design and sustainability challenges.
“Packaging at Les Secrets de Loly is more than just a container: it’s an extension of our brand DNA. I’ve always had a genuine passion for design and innovation, which elevate the customer experience. Each bottle tells a story: one of inclusivity, joy, and responsibility. For me, packaging is an emotional driver and a strategic branding tool. It’s the perfect blend of aesthetics, marketing, and values — all in the service of a brand that inspires trust and pleasure. It’s all about evolving, managing costs, and addressing tomorrow’s ecological challenges,”says Kelly Massol.
Jacques Playe, VP of Packaging & Product Development at L’Oréal: Driving Innovation and Sustainability in Beauty
Behind many of the world’s most iconic beauty products lies his vision. Jacques Playe combines strategy, storytelling and innovation to transform every product into an experience. From his strategic position leading L’Oréal’s global packaging organisation, he is driving a profound shift in how packaging is conceived worldwide.
Under his leadership, L’Oréal has undertaken a major transition towards recyclable materials, refillable innovations and more resource-efficient, circular solutions. A strong advocate for collaboration, he brings together engineers, designers and brands to build a future of packaging that is both responsible and desirable – perfectly aligned with the spirit of Paris Packaging Week.
Vitalie Taittinger, President of Champagne Taittinger: Packaging as a Work of Art and Culture
Vitalie Taittinger @Martin Morrell
A member of the famous Taittinger champagne family, Vitalie Taittinger is one of the few women leading a major champagne house.
Rooted in the entrepreneurial spirit of her family and inspired by her father Pierre-Emmanuel’s efforts to revive the House of Champagne Taittinger, Vitalie has embraced her role as the brand’s global ambassador.
Under her leadership, Taittinger celebrates craftsmanship, timelessness, and precision, while embracing new creative collaborations that bridge art, gastronomy, and culture. Her vision of luxury comes from an artistic perspective: a communion of emotion, sharing, culture, and legacy.
At Paris Packaging Week, Vitalie will share how design, driven by meaning and passion, can elevate a brand and help shape its legacy.
