Press release | Paris Packaging Week unveils the finalists of the 2026 Innovation Awards and launches a new category dedicated to luxury

Paris, 16 December 2025 – Paris Packaging Week today announces the finalists of the 2026 Innovation Awards, the industry’s most highly anticipated awards, which each year celebrate the world’s best technical innovations in perfume, cosmetics, premium drinks, aerosols and dispensing systems.

The 2026 edition also marks a major milestone with the introduction of a new award entirely dedicated to excellence in luxury packaging, further enriching an awards programme already recognised for spotlighting the most outstanding innovations across these sectors.

Selected from more than 260 international entries, the finalists were assessed by a prestigious panel of expert judges representing leading global brands in aerosols, beauty, drinks and luxury. The jury met over four days of deliberations in November and December. For the first time, the winners will be revealed at a gala party taking place the night before the show opens, on 4 February 2026.

An exceptional edition marked by the launch of the Packaging Première Premium & Luxury Innovation Awards and a dedicated Gala Party

For the very first time, Paris Packaging Week is introducing an award designed to recognise excellence in packaging within the luxury universe. The Premium & Luxury Awards are a first-of-its-kind initiative to recognise excellence in packaging in the luxury sector, beyond the show’s traditional sectors such as cosmetics, wines and spirits. Part of the Paris Packaging Week Innovation Awards, this new distinction has been designed to meet a market need and reflect the growing demands for design and innovation in high-end packaging.

This award is dedicated exclusively to promoting innovation in areas such as jewellery and watch cases, fashion and accessory packaging, exceptional gastronomic products, limited edition or collector’s gift boxes, and sustainable and ultra-personalised solutions as well as sustainable innovations and refined luxury design.

Thibaut Jambou, Chief Operations Officer at Kering Beauté and member of the jury for this first edition, commented on the shortlisted projects: “Innovative and ingenious designs now make it possible to create very high-quality packaging using mono- or dual-material solutions, making recycling easier while focusing on what truly matters. In luxury, simplicity has always been the source of incomparable quality and of responsible, sustainable innovation.”

The winners of the 2026 Innovation Awards will be announced at a new, exclusive Innovation Awards Gala Party on 4 February 2026, hosted at one of Paris’s most iconic addresses of elegance, the Pavillon Vendôme on Place Vendôme. The event will bring together leading international innovators, decision-makers from the beauty, drinks, aerosol and luxury sectors, renowned designers, emerging talents and key packaging partners. It will be a unique opportunity to celebrate industry achievements, connect with market leaders and enjoy an evening dedicated to innovation, creativity and design.

The following day, all visitors will be able to discover the award winners in the dedicated Innovation Awards gallery, accessible throughout the two days of the exhibition at Paris Expo Porte de Versailles.

Chosen from several hundred international submissions, the finalists were evaluated by expert juries composed of representatives from leading global brands across the different sectors.

“The Innovation Awards have long been the benchmark for celebrating packaging innovation. But in 2026, we are raising the bar: a dedicated gala evening, a new award focused on luxury, and an even higher level of expectation,” said Christelle Anya, Content and Community Director at Paris Packaging Week. “This year’s entries demonstrate exceptional creativity and technical expertise. We look forward to celebrating these innovations and offering unique visibility to those who are reinventing the industry every day.”

A prestigious event

The 2026 edition is already shaping up to be one of the strongest yet, driven by entries that reflect a sector in the midst of profound transformation. This year’s projects demonstrate a remarkable level of innovation, whether in responding to new regulatory requirements, exploring more sustainable solutions, or rethinking the aesthetic codes of luxury and premium packaging. Brands are increasingly succeeding in combining responsibility, creativity and technical excellence, resulting in ambitious concepts that are redefining packaging standards.

“These Innovation Awards are far from insignificant. They provide a real barometer of the industry’s vitality, particularly given the impressive number of entries once again this year,” explained Jean Blottière, General Delegate of the French Aerosol Committee. Julien Sickersen, Head of Product Development – Skincare, Sun Care and Haircare at Sisley, added: “The submitted projects show a genuine focus on recyclability, materials and refillability, opening up exciting prospects for the packaging of tomorrow. The PPWR regulation, although demanding, encourages a new mindset that is pushing the entire sector towards a more restrained and responsible form of elegance.”
