Champagne Cattier celebrates 400th birthday with limited-edition packaging

Champagne Cattier launched 400 hand painted bottles in the context of an artist collaboration to mark four centuries of business.

An artist edition of Champagne Cattier’s Blanc de Blancs Premier Cru cuvée was revealed at an evening organized by French professional packaging network Réseau EPN in Paris in February 2026. Papermaker Oudin sponsored the event.

Created to mark Champagne Cattier’s 400th anniversary, the release is the result of a collaboration with French painter and sculptor Raphaël Laventure. The champagne is housed in a bespoke bottle (Saverglass) that has been transformed into a vibrant work of art. Each bottle is painted individually by the artist using acrylic paint applied with a knife. A signature of the artist on his canvases, this technique brought texture and depth to the bottle. The endeavor marked Laventure’s first time painting directly on a wine and spirits bottle.
