Dom Pérignon banks on quiet luxury with in-store personalized packaging

London-based drinks design agency Knockout is the brainchild behind a new in-store packaging personalization initiative from LVMH-owned champagne brand Dom Pérignon.

Dom Pérignon’s personalization offer at retail may not stand out at first glance, but this is how UK-based agency Knockout, a specialist in drinks design, intentionally conceived the project: as a discreet symbol of quiet luxury. “Its beauty lies in its subtlety,” comments Knockout, who was responsible for the concept, design and execution.

The agency chose to preserve the iconic silhouette of Dom Pérignon’s bottle with its label in the shape of a shield. It is only when the bottle is turned that a concealed shield integrated into the closure is revealed. When the shield is opened, a personalized message is displayed.
