Jeanette Coombs-Lanot is Sustainability Director at Chanel Fragrance & Beauty. In this role, she leads the division’s sustainability vision and strategy, working to bring the House’s ambition to life, drive business value, and maximize positive impact by addressing both the environmental and social footprint of the brand and leveraging its unique influence.
Before joining Chanel, Jeanette held various leadership roles in sustainability and external relations, most recently at Danone, where she helped structure the company’s sustainability strategy and transformation, oversaw the company’s global B Corp certification journey, and catalyzed pioneering industry coalitions such as Business for Inclusive Growth (launched at the G7) and the Dairy Methane Action Alliance. Her earlier career includes roles in public affairs and advocacy with international organizations and governments.
Jeanette holds degrees from Georgetown University, Sciences Po Paris, and the London School of Economics, as well as executive education from Harvard. She is also a member of the IMAGINE leadership network, a global community dedicated to accelerating transformational leadership and innovation. Originally from Birmingham, Alabama, Jeanette lives in Paris with her husband and two children.
