Susbox 2017 FINKE Bio-compostable coloration solutions

Färbemittel für Biokunststoffe müssen besonderen Anforderungen genügen. Die Finke Susbox gibt einen Überblick über die Möglichkeiten zur Einfärbung nachhaltiger Kunststoffe. Biokunststoffe spielen vor dem Hintergrund knapper werdender Erdölressourcen und dem wachsenden Bewusstsein für Umweltschutz und Nachhaltigkeit eine immer größere Rolle. Eine Reihe von Materialien, die ganz oder teilweise aus nachwachsenden Rohstoffen bestehen und/oder bioabbaubar sind hat sich inzwischen am Markt etabliert. Dazu gehören beispielsweise Polylactid (PLA), Polybutylensuccinat (PBS), Compounds aus Holz und Kunststoff (Wood Plastics Compounds, WPC), Thermoplastische Stärkepolymerblends (TPS), Bio-PE, BioPP und Bio-PET. Um aus Biokunststoffen Produkte herzustellen, die sich mit erdölbasierten Materialien sowohl wirtschaftlich als auch in ihren Eigenschaften messen können, ist großes Know-how nötig. Bei der Formulierung von Farbmasterbatchen und Färbemitteln müssen einerseits die besonderen Eigenschaften und das Verhalten der Biokunststoffe bei der Verarbeitung berücksichtigt werden. Andererseits ergeben sich spezielle Anforderungen an die Rezeptur. Denn auch die einzelnen Bestandteile sollten entsprechend ihrer Anwendung aus nachwachsenden Rohstoffen bestehen und ggf. bioabbaubar sein, wenn dies zur Spezifikation des Produktes gehört. Die genaue Abstimmung des Färbemittels auf das zu färbende System gehört seit jeher zu den Kernkompetenzen von Finke. Dieses Know-how ist in die Entwicklung einer Reihe von FIBAPLAST Masterbatchen zur Einfärbung von Biokunststoffen geflossen. Mit der Susbox (Sus steht für sustainability, Nachhaltigkeit) stellt Finke auf der Fakuma 2017 die Vielfalt der Möglichkeiten anhand von praxisgerechten nachhaltigen Produktmustern vor. Die Farbmuster sind mit den neu entwickelten FIBAPLAST Bio-Masterbatchen eingefärbt. Die Rezeptur erfüllt alle Anforderungen für die Kompostierfähigkeit nach EN 13432, d.h. die Rohstoffe, wie Pigmente, Farbstoffe, Füllstoffe und Additive, wurden einzeln bewertet, geprüft und für die Anwendung freigegeben. Zu jedem Polymer gibt es eine ungefärbte Plakette, sodass der Anwender den Einfluss des Färbemittels auf die Produkteigenschaften einschätzen kann. Neben den Spritzguss-Plaketten findet sich in der Susbox eine extrudierte Folie aus einem heimkompostierfähigen PLA. Vier blasgeformte Flaschen aus Bio-Polymeren und Rezyklaten, die im Finke-Technikum hergestellt wurden, zeigen, dass sich auch mit diesen Materialien verschiedene Spezialeffekte realisieren lassen. Zur Susbox gehört außerdem eine Präsentation zum Thema Kunststoffe und Nachhaltigkeit. Sie klärt wichtige Begriffe, gibt eine Übersicht über Eigenschaften und Gewinnung von gängigen Biopolymeren und liefert Informationen zur Marktsituation und Zertifizierung. With our Fibarec masterbatches, we offer sustainable colours for plastics. So if you want a plastic product that is still 100% recycled after colouring, Fibarec is the colouring solution for you. The demand for sustainable colour for plastics is constantly increasing - and with our newly developed Fibarec masterbatch series, we can easily meet it. This is because we only use recycled materials as carrier polymers for the masterbatches - from household waste, the so-called post-consumer recyclates (PCR), and from industrial production waste. This means that all Fibarec masterbatches are based on rPET. Nevertheless, they can be processed just as well as masterbatches based on virgin material and are also ecologically and socially sustainable.
