Since 1852 KAPAG has been striving to inspire companies in the creation of extraordinary fibre-based products that customers will love. Today, our family-owned Swiss company is the leading paperboard laminator in Europe for applications reaching from premium packaging for luxury goods and high-end graphics to industrial uses.
Oppboga Bruk AB have been producing paperboards from the idyllic Swedish countryside in Fellingsbro for 120 years. Among their product portfolio are trusted brands Oppboga Prominent™ for the packaging of premium products and Oppboga Excellent™ for the sign and display market.

Algro Duo - The whitest white for accomplished visual communication
Our customers are assured of a perpetual radiant white and uniform surface regardless of whether they use this solid bleached board in 450gsm (500mic) or 1660gsm (2000mic). These homogeneous properties allow products to be converted with a consistent look and feel for a virtually unlimited range of applications. Algro Duo is available coated or uncoated and complements the Algro Design® paper range of Sappi.
Alpha BlackCore - Exquisite black lends your brand a royal appearance
Alpha BlackCore is dyed a solid deep black throughout and is the preferred option for applications where stylish design counts. Combinations with flock, coloured outer or middle layers as well as self-adhesive film are equally possible for applications in luxury packaging. You can choose a cartonboard thickness between 500 and 2000mic.
EcoBoard White Coated Duo - That’s the spirit
EcoBoard White Coated Duo has been specifically designed for spirits such as whisky, gin, vodka, champagne as well as for fine wines. Its bright white surface ensures best printability and finishing options. The quality can be produced double coated on both sides or with an uncoated white surface or a silver front side. The silver option is now also available plastic free, meaning it can be disposed of with standard paper waste products. All three product versions contain a waste paper content of at least 50%, which is an important requirement for market players, e.g. the Scotch Whisky Association, to meet their environmental targets.
EcoLine - 100% recycled is the new black
EcoLine is currently a favourite among our customers and reflects the international trend for sustainable products that are now used increasingly in premium packaging for luxury goods. EcoLine Grass Duo is the latest addition to our EcoLine product family. This paperboard contains recycled fibres as well as a high percentage of sundried grass, therefore underpinning the sustainable qualities of paperboard packaging. EcoLine Grass Duo lends itself perfectly to applications such as loyalty cards, graphical products and packaging. EcoLine Brown and Grey as well as their laminated Duo versions are made from 100% recycled fibres. The graphical recycling paper can be transformed into unique cards, designer wrapping paper, envelopes or premium packaging. It is available from 90gsm to 440gsm.
FibreForm® White Duo / Silk Plus Duo - Think the unthinkable thanks to 3D
The FibreForm® paperboards are food approved solid bleached boards with high tensile stretch and tearing resistance. These properties allow for unusually deep embossing (more than three times the board thickness), which until recently was unheard of in the field of cartonboard. The unusually deep embossing therefore attracts attention to packaged branded goods, helps to guard against counterfeit packaging and opens up opportunities for completely new applications. FibreForm® White Duo / Silk Plus Duo complement the FibreForm® paper range of Billerud.

Oppboga Prominent™ - Superbly printable. Bulky. Lightweight.
Oppboga Prominent™ has a triple-coated surface that ensures outstanding printability. Its premium fibre composition (CTMP) provides a bulky paperboard that is approximately 20% lighter than other coated boards, resulting in cost and environmental benefits. The product can be used in direct contact with premium confectionary and other food products as well as for luxury beverage cartons, medical or electronics packaging or gift cards.
Oppboga Albus™ - Engineered to convert like an SBS. Agile. Lean.
Oppboga Albus™ shows outstanding conversion results. The quality lends itself to projects that demand complex designs in terms of graphics and structure. Its strong fibres provide for a bulky yet lightweight paperboard that allows you to save approximately 10% in material, leading to cost savings and environmental benefits.
Oppboga Robust™ - Strong. Tear resistant. An ideal alternative to micro-fluting.
Oppboga Robust™ is a two-side coated SUS (solid unbleached sulphate) board possessing a high tear strength that keeps your products and brand safe. The strong paperboard runs extremely well on automated packing lines and is perfectly suited for multipacks and heavy cartons, be it for luxury beverages, food trays, gift sets or electronics. In this sector, Oppboga Robust™ outperforms micro-fluted cartons, particularly when it comes to its consistent print performance (no flute shadow effect).
Functional coatings - Refining to your preference
KAPAG offers a broad range of functional barriers, including anti-static, skid-proof, water-repellant, grease- resistant or latex coatings, among others. They are suitable for industrial applications as well as for food packaging. We can offer a plethora of print supports for the barriers, i.e. our customers can choose different paperboards in many thicknesses and widths (of up to 2480 mm). The coated materials can be disposed off with other standard waste paper to close the paper loop.
Alpha WhiteCore - For eternal youth
Alpha WhiteCore is a high white uncoated solid bleach board that lends itself for exclusive packaging applications. It is available from 500 to 2000mic with the option of an embossed, flocked, coloured or white front.
FibreForm Brown Duo
KAPAG Karton + Papier AG is complementing its best-selling FibreForm® White Duo with a natural brown, reflecting the trend for sustainable materials increasingly used in premium packaging for luxury goods. Thanks to its high tearing resistance and tensile stretch, the 3D paperboard lends itself to the extremely deep embossing that is so attractive to consumers. There is no other packaging material that makes such an impression on retail shelves. The food-approved board is made from 100% cellulose fibres. On request, it can also be made with a proportion of recycled fibres. KAPAG’s FibreForm® paperboards complete the FibreForm® paper range of Billerud. www.kapag.com
Oppboga Truecoat™ C2S - The authentic solid bleached sulphate board
Oppboga Truecoat™ C2S is a solid bleached sulphate (SBS) board with a white double coating on both sides to ensure good printability. The product has outstanding smoothness, lending itself perfectly to finishing techniques such as film and foil lamination. Its multi-layer board structure withstands the most challenging converting processes. The paperboard’s optimized whiteness brings demanding images to life. At the same time, its high resistance to UV light preserves this vibrancy and ensures the product stays whiter for longer. For all of the above reasons, Oppboga Truecoat™ C2S is perfectly suited for luxury packaging and high-end graphical applications. Oppboga Truecoat™ C2S is available in a variety of substances from 400gsm to 670gsm and is suitable for direct food contact. Oppboga Resilient™ - Versatile. Moisture loving. Fossil free.
Oppboga Resilient™ defies moist and wet environments and is therefore a sustainable alternative to plastic packaging. It can replace plastics in applications, such as food trays, beer packs or plant pots. The company Moltzau in Norway launched pots made from Oppboga Resilient™ to replace plastic pots along the entire flower market supply change. Many factors had to be considered during this process: from filling of the pots at the plantations, through to transport, storage and shelf display at the retailer, as well as use of the pots by the consumer.
Ensovelvet™ - Feeling is believing.
Ensovelvet™ is an uncoated solid bleached sulphate (SBS) board suitable for food contact. Its three-layer fibre structure, made from chemical pulp, provides extra stiffness and strength which are important properties to withstand demanding processes, such as folding and embossing. The icy white shade of Ensovelvet™ is well suited for luxury applications, such as cosmetics or perfumes, and its velvety smooth surfaces provide a wonderfully tactile experience. Oppboga laminates the base paper Ensovelvet™ by Stora Enso to produce higher paper weights, namely from 490 to 650gsm.
