SURLYN (TM) de DOW
We recently launched two extensions of the SURLYN™ Ionomers family that pioneer the use of bio-based and circular feedstocks. SURLYN™ REN and SURLYN™ CIR Ionomers will enable beauty brands and manufacturers to create high-quality cosmetic packaging that stands out on the shelves and offers enhanced sustainability.

PHA Builder (PHA base compounds)
PhaBuilder: Focused on the Biomanufacturing of PHA. PhaBuilder's technology is derived from Tsinghua University, initiated and founded by Professor George Guo-Qiang CHEN, a top global synthetic biology expert and the first Chinese recipient of the IMES Award (International Metabolic Engineering Award). Relying on a self-developed halophilic bacterial chassis system for 30 consecutive years, PhaBuilder continuously develops its core product PHA (Polyhydroxyalkanoate) and promotes the realization of the PHA-based "4P" strategy for enterprise. This includes PHAmily (continuously exploring the PHA family with over 10 billion combinations), PHAbrary (a series of polymer material application solutions), PHAdustry (Industry 4.0 in the era of biomanufacturing, and global industrialization based on the NGIB(Next Generation Industrial Biotechnology) system, and PHA Life (the green lifestyle advocated by PhaBuilder, as well as the industrialization of PHA). PhaBuilder also possesses unique non-grain biomanufacturing technology and is currently constructing the world's largest "NGIB" production line with an annual capacity of 30,000 tons. In the future, PhaBuilder will provide sustainable solutions based on green bio-based materials to global customers by positioning itself as “a global leader in synthetic biology and bio-manufacturing”.

Prime Biopolymers (PLA-based Pre-Compounds)
rime Biopolymers help companies in developing sustainable production, in compliance with the requirements of the circular economy and the environmental demands from the end consumer. We walk hand to hand with our customers in the transition from conventional petroleum-based plastic materials to environmentally friendly biodegradable plastics. WE DEVELOP AN EXCLUSIVE BIOPLASTIC FOR YOUR MANUFACTURING PROCESSES Our solutions focus on the needs of each company, developing specific grades of bioplastic for each customer’s processes and machinery. We advise our customers through the entire operation so that they can adapt to the current regulations reflected in the 2018/852 Directive of the European Commission. Faced with the emergence of new legislation seeking new production methods based on the circular economy and the demands of consumers who demand more sustainable products, Prime Biopolymers has developed ZIMIA, a range of biopolymers capable of replacing many of the applications of conventional plastics. ✓ No machinery changes. ✓ Custom grade design. ✓ Ok Compost Certification. MITSUI TPX (Transparent & Clear Polyolefine PMP)
TPX™ from Mitsui Chemicals is a transparent plastic (Polymethylpentene) that is heat resistant and boasts superior releasability. It is one of the lightest polymer materials among thermoplastic plastics for commercial use, and can be used for a wide range of your purposes. TPX™ Polymethylpentene (PMP) is a unique semi-crystalline thermoplastic known to have the lowest density of any commercial grade polymer available at 0.82 g/cc. Its typical color is a semi-transparent white, however in thinner gauges of sheet and film the material is transparent. TPX offers a unique combination of heat resistance and release characteristics. Because the surface tension of TPX is very low, the product displays excellent release and peeling characteristics. In addition, the extremely low density of TPX offers the potential for significant weight reduction of the final product. Applications include release films, lightweight structural parts, and hollow fibers. PMP is FDA compliant and used in many food and beverage applications

BARIQ (rPET / PCR Food Grade)
Bariq Egypt is the first PET Bottle to Bottle Manufacturer in the Middle East and Africa. Founded in 2011, Bariq is the first food-grade rPET producer in Egypt and the biggest in the Middle East & Africa. The company started production of food-grade rPET with an AMUT and Starlinger PET recycling lines in 2012 and holds a positive EFSA opinion and a FDA Letter of Non-Objection (LNO). Health Canada approval, REACH & GRS compliant PET pellets. Bariq’s facility is compliant with BRC and SEDEX directions achieving the best standards in good manufacturing practices with highest social working conditions. Exporting 100% to global players in the packaging sector for bottle and food container producers throughout Europe and North America. Bariq is recycling 1.6 Billion PET bottles per year on the foundation of two sustainability pillars of being economically justified and environmentally sound. Over the past years, Bariq has recycled approximately 15 billion PET bottles into food and non-food grade pellets, which contributed to saving more than 260,000 tons of CO2 and helping countless marine life avoid non-degradable plastic issues. To strengthen its waste management portfolio. In February 2022 Bariq announced in a high-level event their sustainability strategy and plans to be the biggest recycler in the region by adding a washing and upgrading line to its portfolio. The new recycling system, a recoSTAR PET 215 HC iV+ including a viscoSTAR 350 SSP reactor, reaches an output of 2700 kg/h and will enable Bariq to increase its total production capacity to 35,000 metric tonnes of food-grade rPET pellets per year. The viscoSTAR 350 SSP reactor – the biggest size of the latest reactor generation – provides extended processing capacity and residence time while it keeps the footprint of the new recycling line compact like the first Starlinger PET recycling line BAriq installed in 2012.
