Purified hydrocarbons
SCHARR CPC has been one of the leading suppliers of cleaned hydrocarbons for more than 30 years and develops environmentally friendly propellants, propellants and refrigerants for individual applications. With its hydrocarbon propellants, the company is among the best in terms of product and service quality in a national and international comparison.
LPG: trade and distribution
Trading in LPG (Liquefied Petroleum Gas) is another important business area. LPG is liquid gas and consists of propane and butane. This is a modern and environmentally friendly source of energy with a wide range of applications.

AERON® Sprays
AERON® sprays - products with special purity. SCHARR CPC propellants are environmentally friendly and meet the requirements of the spray industry to a particularly high degree. In addition to a technical aerosol for the household and industrial sector, we also offer cosmetic aerosols that meet the strict requirements of the Cosmetics Ordinance. The special feature lies in the production at the Krefeld site, where our raw materials are processed into purified hydrocarbons using a special procedure. The propellant gas can be configured according to your individual requirements - please simply let us know your desired mixing ratio.
LPG
Trading LPG - that's our business LPG (Liquified Petroleum Gas) is a hydrocarbon, also known as liquefied petroleum gas. These hydrocarbons are obtained during the extraction of natural gas and crude oil, as well as the processing of crude oil in refineries. A distinction is made between propane (molecular formula C3 H8) and butane (molecular formula C4 H10). Liquid petroleum gas or LPG is in fact gaseous in its normal state, but it liquefies at a relatively low pressure. LPG is compressed to 1/260 of its original gas volume. This makes it possible to store large amounts of energy as well as safe and simple storage in tanks and cylinders. In addition to its good CO2 balance, LPG is characterized by low emissions of air pollutants such as particulate matter or nitrogen oxides.
AERON® Chemicals
AERON® Chemicals - Propellants for special applications In addition to the purified hydrocarbons, we also offer you the propellants n-butane, isobutane and propane as raw materials for maleic anhydride (MSA) or for the production of alkylate gasoline. Our products AERON® N-Pentane and AERON® D are also used as solvents. In addition, we offer the possibility of special blends for the automotive industry - we are your contact for scale-up trials in the field of research and development. Well-known partners such as Deutz or the University of RWTH Aachen rely on our quality and regularly use our service. Contact us for further information. AERON® Food
Our purified hydrocarbons are odorless, environmentally friendly and non-toxic. They are therefore ideally suited for use in the food industry - both for direct use as a spray application and for use in the packaging industry. The propellant gas can be configured according to your individual requirements - please simply let us know your desired mixing ratio. Propellants are subject to strict regulations, particularly in the food industry. On the one hand, this serves to protect consumers and, on the other, food manufacturers. AERON® Foam
AERON® Foam - products with the right effect Our blowing agents are mainly used in the production of polyurethane and polystyrene rigid foams such as PUR, PU, EPS, XPS and are primarily used in the packaging and construction industries. Due to their excellent properties as blowing agents, they offer many advantages: environmentally friendly: our blowing agents have no impact on the depletion of the ozone layer (ODP, abbreviation for Ozone Depletion Potential). low GWP value (abbreviation for Global Warming Potential) Low thermal conductivity This enables our products to produce a high-quality end product. The blowing agent can be configured according to your individual requirements - please simply let us know your desired mixing ratio.
AERON® Freeze
AERON® Freeze refrigerants - for a better climate Our refrigerants are free of halogens and have no negative impact on the ozone layer - their ODP value is zero and their GWP value is 3 - 4 for butane/propane and 5 for pentanes. Natural refrigerants are becoming increasingly important, particularly in light of the new F-Gas Regulation, which provides for a reduction in synthetic refrigerants. Halogenated refrigerants have a considerable impact on the ozone layer and therefore remain in the stratosphere for years, sometimes even decades. Our refrigerants are considered short-lived substances under atmospheric conditions and therefore do not contribute to ozone layer depletion. In addition to their use in the household industry, our refrigerants are becoming increasingly important as energy sources in heat pump technology in view of the current Renewable Energy Sources Act.
