Somater is a specialist in polymerpackaging for the cosmetics industry, we eco-design plastic bottles, caps and tubes.

Somater is a French family-owned group with over 40 years of expertise.
As a specialist in plastic packaging for the cosmetics industry, we eco-design and manufacture plastic bottles, caps, closures and tubes for cosmetics, luxury and dermocosmetics brands.

Our expertise covers the entire value chain: development of plastic bottles, manufacturing of caps and closures, multi-component assembly, and custom solutions for makeup and cosmetic skincare.

We offer high-end decoration solutions, including silk-screen printing, hot stamping, premium finishes and specific surface treatments designed to enhance cosmetic packaging. Each bottle, cap or closure is engineered to elevate brand image, enhance user experience, and meet responsible and sustainable requirements linked to environmental protection.
Our eco-designed solutions are developed on a bespoke basis according to our clients’ specifications or offered through our standard product catalogue, combining performance, design and responsibility.

Products & services

CAPS / LIDS

Somater produces caps offering a comprehensive system for the necks most commonly used on cosmetic and pharmaceutical products. To facilitate use of the pack by consumers, Somater has also developed flip-top caps. For cap & flask sets, Somater guarantees the leak tightness of the pack according to a rigorous set of specifications. In this section, you will also find other products to complement an existing pack.

BOTTLES

All our standard flasks have been developed according to the principles of eco-design. Produced using virgin, bio-sourced or recycled (PCR and CCR) polymers, our flasks will help you respond to the growing demands of your customers. They are manufactured in France and Belgium, and actively contribute to reducing the carbon footprint.

POTS & LIDS

Designed for packaging liquid or dry products, Somater’s range of pots is available in PP. Eco-designed and customisable, our pots can also be recycled. New models are under development to complement the existing range.

ROLL-ONS

To effectively serve the deodorant market, Somater offers a solution combining competitiveness, marketing demands and sustainable development. Lightweight, with an integrated ball-holder and a large production capacity, this range of products is available on request. The roll-ons can also be customised using the Group’s decoration techniques.

TUBES & STOPPERS

A trusted partner of the pharmaceutical industry for 40 years, Somater has a full range of rigid tubes and desiccant stoppers to guarantee the effectiveness and performance of your tablets. Our solution is based on a demanding quality system that makes it possible to control the moisture in your packaging, from manufacture to use by the patient. Our control of the processes (transformation, decoration and assembly) meets the economic and logistical demands of health care markets, especially for over-the-counter products such as vitamins, paracetamol, aspirin and food supplements. To support you in your eco-design efforts, our tubes and stoppers can also be manufactured from PCR or bio-sourced materials that meet the requirements of the European Pharmacopoeia.

LAMINATE TUBES

Every day we strive to reinvent our tubes by working with our trusted partners to revolutionise the format. The aim is to reduce the environmental footprint of our products across their life cycle, while conserving their usage qualities and offering high-quality decoration. Mono-material, recyclable, lightweight, incorporating bio-sourced or recycled laminate… these are just a few examples of what we can offer. Thanks to its manufacturing base in France, Somater can provide a flexible response to growing market demand of laminate tubes ABL and PBL.
