Doctor in Marine Biology, she was a researcher specialising in toxicology for many years and the author of numerous scientific articles. In 2018, she left the academic mode and founded the company Plastic@Sea: an experimental analysis laboratory to support manufacturers in their search for more environmentally friendly alternatives to conventional products in a circular economy approach. Through innovative solutions, they provide factual data on the end-of-life of its clients’ products, test the biodegradability of new generation plastics in the aquatic environment and measure the impacts on biodiversity of biodegradable, recycled and conventional plastics. It also tries to promote the Blue Economy in many departmental structures.
