Sun Chemical is committed to supporting the metal packaging industry achieve its sustainability goals.
Our approach to sustainable product development includes risk management and eco-efficiency improvements, as well as a proactive approach in working with suppliers, customers, and industry trade groups to promote best practices.
We’re working to increase the amount of raw materials sourced from bio-renewable sources. For the metal packaging market, some of our inks use soybean oil that comes from fields that have been certified as not replacing other pre-existing natural biodiversity.
Critical to our approach is aligning our goals with those of the United Nations in its Transforming our World: the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development, “a plan of action for people, planet and prosperity.”
