Charles Bradley stands out for his background and commitment to the packaging sector. He highlights his doctoral research, which has made a significant contribution to the design of reusable packaging systems. His work combines academic rigour with practical relevance, addressing one of the major challenges of sustainability. His research focuses on the application of digital technologies to improve adoption and long-term consumer engagement with reuse systems. He has built a strong evidence base through extensive research, including mapping 26 key factors (and 72 sub-factors) influencing the sustainability of reuse systems, as well as identifying 15 technologies in 27 circular economy activities. It also worked with 40 reuse solution providers and designers to draw practical lessons, and collected data from 383 participants to analyse behaviours, perceptions and demographics.
