Dhruvi Thakkar built her career working closely with production, before moving on to design packaging for consumer goods and beauty brands, notably at Vibrant Foods and Unilever. These experiences taught her how to bridge the gap between creativity, technical constraints and large-scale manufacturing; at Vibrant Foods, in particular, she helped to make packaging development more consistent and efficient. Through her freelance practice, Sleeve Office, she aims to bring together designers, materials specialists and manufacturers right from the start of projects, and then to create a European innovation centre capable of designing packaging that is simpler to produce and uses fewer resources.
