Justina Mejia-Montane is a globally recognized beauty industry leader—often referred to by her peers as a true “beauty industry unicorn” for her rare blend of technical expertise in chemical engineering and visionary product marketing acumen. With over two decades of experience spanning skincare, makeup, fragrance, and beauty technology, she is known for bridging science and storytelling to build iconic, consumer-loved brands and products.
She is currently Chief Product Officer at KAYALI Fragrances, where she leads the global product organization across fragrance innovation, portfolio strategy, packaging, and product lifecycle management. In close partnership with the founder, Justina is responsible for shaping the brand’s long-term innovation vision—balancing creative artistry with disciplined execution to drive sustainable growth, cultural relevance, and global scale.
Prior to KAYALI, Justina led the New Formulations category at Dyson, where she joined in 2023 to build the strategy, infrastructure, and teams behind the brand’s expansion into formulations. Overseeing both formula and packaging development, she played a pivotal role in establishing Dyson’s formulations capability—working across engineering, science, and design to deliver high-performance, consumer-centric innovation.
Before Dyson, she served as Senior Vice President of Global Product Innovation & Packaging Development at Huda Beauty, where she helped propel the company’s rapid growth by leading innovation across Huda Beauty, Wishful, and KAYALI. Her leadership spanned every stage of the product lifecycle, and she was instrumental in scaling a founder-led startup into a globally recognized prestige beauty powerhouse.
Earlier in her career, Justina spent 15 years at The Estée Lauder Companies, driving innovation and growth across brands including Aveda, Lab Series, Bobbi Brown, and Aramis Designer Fragrances. Having navigated the beauty ecosystem from global conglomerate to fast-scaling startup to tech-driven innovation company, she brings a rare ability to operate at both strategic altitude and executional depth—equally comfortable setting vision and rolling up her sleeves to deliver.
Known for her entrepreneurial mindset and collaborative leadership style, Justina’s innovation philosophy is rooted in empathy, macro-trend fluency, and multicultural relevance.
