With 40 years’ solid experience in dermatology, angiology and anti-ageing research, Dr Michele Pelletier naturally specialised in laser technology, setting up a dermo-aesthetic and anti-ageing laser centre. After 30 years of practising ‘light therapy’, she went on to explore other areas such as radiofrequency and other light sources, including the non-thermal effects of light-emitting diodes.
Since October 2010, she has been running the European Led Academy, a not-for-profit organisation open to doctors and other healthcare professionals, physicists, cell biologists and optoelectronic engineers concerned with the photo-biological mechanisms and treatments associated with the use of LEDs and low-energy lasers.
Every year, it organises the European Led Academy days dedicated to different areas of the healthcare sector (medical and/or aesthetic). She has helped to establish numerous therapeutic parameters for different technologies.
For the last 10 years, as scientific advisor to Lucibel.le, she has contributed to the development of the Ove mask, which has revolutionised the approach to treating the harmful effects of ageing on the skin.
She is the author of several publications exploring red light photo-biomodulation.
