Pearlfisher revisits the design of the artisanal gin Sipsmith London Dry Gin

Owner Beam Suntory has announced that the new bottle contains up to 44% recycled materials and is 20% lighter than its predecessor.

The company stated that it could save seven tonnes of plastic per year by discontinuing the use of a “wax-dipped” lid with the bottle.

Sam Galsworthly, co-founder of Sipsmith, said: “This beautiful new bottle demonstrates that it’s possible to significantly reduce environmental impact without compromising packaging quality.

“For me, pleasure lies in all the details, whether it’s a more sustainable cork or a few hidden gems in the design. When you hold it in your hand, it’s much easier to pour, which will appeal to bartenders and drinkers alike.
