Aros Group unveils a paper-based make-up compact featuring a bamboo hinge

The New York-based group, which received two awards at the 2026 Pentawards, unveils a detachable cosmetic compact featuring a mirror that stays in position without being held.

Founded in New York in 2017 by French entrepreneur Youcef Ferfache, Aros Group supports beauty brands from product development through to manufacturing. Among its latest creations is Paper Palette, a make-up compact whose structure is primarily made from paper.

The product features a self-locking hinge, for which a patent application is currently pending. It combines a bamboo pin with specially engineered paper components. This mechanism allows the mirror to remain in the desired position, regardless of its angle, without requiring manual support. Bamboo was selected for its natural strength and dimensional stability.
