Starfoil VL840 spooling/slitting machine
This Value Line machine is suitable for spooling and slitting jumbo rolls on 1", 3" and 6” cores to master rolls on 1" and 3" cores by razor blade slitting or shear slitting (optional). Hot Stamping Foils
Hot Stamping products can be applied very universally to a wide variety of substrates and material surfaces. Heat and pressure are used to level out and flatten any unevenness and roughness of the material or substrate used. A heated embossing tool activates the adhesive layer of the product, which immediately creates adhesion to the substrate. Depending on the process, the embossing tool is usually made of engraved brass or etched magnesium. The shape of the embossing die used largely determines the visual effect and feel of the hot product embossing. A basic distinction is made between the following processes and design options, whereby a wide variety of visual effects can be produced and also combined with one another: Face embossing / flat embossing Textured embossing Relief embossing Micro-Embossing
Cold Transfer Sheet-fed Offset
The biggest advantage of Sheet-fed Offset Cold Transfer for designers looking for limitless creativity is the inline process. This allows designers to create a wide range of metallic effects with exceptional register accuracy in a single transfer process before printing, thanks to the inline operation and the overprintability of our products. API Transfer Technologies' Sheet-fed Cold Transfer products deliver excellent performance, from fine details to full-area applications, with easy releasability and maximum gloss. Halftone effects can also be achieved on small to medium-sized areas. Our products are compatible with a wide range of coated papers, boards, and other substrates. We offer gold/matt gold and silver/matt silver options to meet various design requirements.
Cold Transfer Narrow-Web
The CTW-Series and TA-Plus for narrow web flexo printing used alongside Paragon Inks UVDRY cold foil adhesives L725 and L741, is recommended for applications such as self-adhesive labels and shrink sleeves, especially where over-printability is a key requirement. The products in this series offer significant environmental advantages, such as reducing the frequency of reel changes of the transfer rolls while maintaining the same yield, lowering logistics costs and contributing to greater sustainability with overall higher productivity and the reduction of the carbon footprint throughout the supply chain.
Spooling and Slitting
All of API Transfer Technologies’ global sites are fully equipped, process-optimised and highly efficient slitting facilities for transfer rolls Specifically at our commercial headquarters and European sites, we make up dust-free log rolls and slit rolls from jumbo rolls up to 2m wide on state-of-the-art multi-spool slitting machines from Starfoil Technology equipped with vibration-free, self-sharpening circular knives of the highest quality standard. The use of the latest cutting and measuring systems allows us to produce rolls perfectly tailored to customer requirements with the lowest cutting tolerances.
