Since 1938, the Karl Knauer Group is one of the leading providers of packaging solutions, promotional products, gift packaging and packaging machinery. Serving customers across a wide range of industries, the company develops and manufactures customized solutions made from cardboard, corrugated board and paper – from packaging development, printing and finishing to complex packaging and marketing solutions. Machinery
Efficient and reliable packaging processes are at the core of Karl Knauer’s machinery division. The company develops customized packaging machinery and automation solutions for end-of-line (EOL) applications that can be flexibly integrated into existing production and packaging lines. These include, amongst others, folding carton case erectors, case packers and palletizers, as well as feeding, handling, labelling and inspection systems designed to meet a wide range of packaging industry requirements.

Sliding packaging with inlay
High-quality sleeves for inner values: We develop the packaging that perfectly protects and showcases your cosmetic product. Whether it’s a finely finished presentation set for luxury perfumes, sustainable material for natural cosmetics or a simple folding box for oral care products – our packaging is always a fitting expression of its contents. Depending on the product, it either attracts everyone’s attention or makes a subtle statement. An attractive two-piece: A slider box is made up of a sleeve made from cardboard plus a core. An optional inlay indicates high value and creates impact at the POS. The sleeve, which is produced separately from the inner part, can be used flexibly. For special occasions: Slider boxes or hinged-lid boxes plus inlay are the perfect way to showcase promotions of bodycare and cosmetic products. They are the stars when it comes to gift sets, for Christmas, Mother’s Day, Father’s Day etc.
Blister cards
Whatever you want to pack in blisters - a blister card is an essential component for most blister packaging. The connection between the cover and card is decisive for the quality of the packaging. As a manufacturer of blister cards with many years of experience and specific process expertise, we know exactly what is required: Our high-quality means that the interplay of blister cards, blister cover, sealing wax and process works perfectly. The pivoting head of the Dr.BEST toothbrushes that are well known from advertising do appear behind an innovative patched window made of sustainable cellulose fibres since 2021 – no longer densely packaged in a plastic cover, as is common in this segment. The packaging is completely free of plastic and consists of sustainable and recycled materials. The blister card and blister cover are even made from FSC®-certified carton (FSC®-Mix, FSC® C005891). It is one of the first mainstream toothbrush packaging that can be completely disposed of in the paper waste and recycled without having to take the effort to separate it into individual parts beforehand.
