EMEA Group Senior Marketing Director
Idil Yurdakul is the EMEA Group Senior Marketing Director for Dow Packaging & Specialty Plastics responsible for Infrastructure, Consumer & Transportation based in Horgen, Switzerland. Besides her regional role, she also coordinates globally these markets in a matrix organisation, covering diverse range of markets and technologies. Idil’s career spans over 25 years of leadership experience in marketing, business development, sales, innovation and product management.
Before joining Dow Packaging & Speciality Plastics, she was the EMEAI Product Director in Dow Consumer Solutions responsible from the P&L of the Silicone Elastomers and Engineered Materials. Prior to that, Idil held various roles in former Dow Corning for 11 years and at Sika for 11 years, being based in Belgium and Turkey. Additionally she has been active in several external organisations such as serving at the executive board FEICA, coaching at Capacity Zurich and she is a passionate member of Women’s Inclusion Network (WIN) employee resource group. She is an avid master’s swimmer both at open water and recently at Wadenswil Schwimmverein.
Idil holds a BSc degree from Istanbul Technical University, MSc degree of Structural Engineering from Bogazici University and a MBA from Istanbul Bilgi University.
