The Estée Lauder Companies joins Pulpex

The Pulpex paper bottle consortium has a new member. Beauty group The Estée Lauder Companies will look to scale the Pulpex technology across its brand portfolio.

According to Daniel Ramos, Senior Vice President, Global Packaging at Estée Lauder, “Exploring alternative materials and more responsible concepts into our packaging design is a strategic imperative, but we know we can do it alone. Scaling innovation will be key to driving sustainable packaging solutions”.

By 2030, Estée Lauder aims to use 50% or less virgin petroleum plastic in its packaging. A top priority is to achieve FSC certification for all its cartons by 2025 and to have 75% to 100% of its packaging be 100% recyclable, refillable, reusable, recyclable or recoverable.
