Chanel lightweights packaging for new N°1 range

Chanel has launched N°1 de Chanel, an anti-aging skincare, make-up, and fragrance mist line. The packaging is environmentally friendly, built to be lightweight, made from recycled or recyclable materials, and minimised in plastics.

Approximately 80% of the skincare, make-up, and fragrance products in the range are made of glass. As a result of the streamlined design, the weight of the jars and bottles are 30% lighter than other Chanel packs.

Another area of focus was limiting the use of plastics, especially single-use plastic. In addition, there is no use of cellophane or paper leaflets in the new line. The glass bottles are decorated with organic inks, while the brand’s logo is engraved into the lid rather than printed with ink.
