Patrón partners with Fortnum & Mason to launch añejo Tequila

Tequila brand Patrón, owned by Bacardi, has recently released a limited, 360-bottle run of its Barrel Select Añejo, available solely at luxury department store Fortnum & Mason, reports The Drinks Business.

Fortnum & Mason’s spirits buyer Oscar Dodd selected the barrel from the elite barrel select reserves at Hacienda Patrón in Jalisco, Mexico.

This has been described as ‘one-of-a-kind’ Tequila. The bottling has aged for 26 months in a barrel made of American and French oak. This edition offers an aroma of spices and oak, accompanied by a ‘long, velvety palate’ of fig, caramel and apricot.
