Press release | Paris Packaging Week 2023: the biggest festival of packaging innovation for brands in luxury, beauty, wine and spirits, and aerosols

Paris, 24 October 2022 – Paris Packaging Week 2023, organised by Easyfairs, has announced this year’s dates of 25 & 26 January 2023 at Paris Expo Porte de Versailles and promises an event focused on packaging innovations that tackle today’s challenges and anticipate those coming in the future.
Paris Packaging Week is the global leader for solutions to the latest packaging issues for brands in the luxury, beauty, wine and spirits, and consumer products using aerosols. For more than 20 years, this show has been an essential forum for the packaging sector, connecting brands with suppliers presenting innovations that address current and future issues. Paris Packaging Week is four events in one location:
  • PCD: the premier global innovation event for perfume, cosmetic and personal care packaging.
  • PLD: the main event for design and innovation in packaging for premium and luxury beverages, particularly wines and spirits.
  • ADF: the only global event focused on innovation and technology for aerosol and dispensing packaging.
  • And finally, Packaging Première, the luxury packaging event for luxury markets like fine food, fashion and accessories.

NEW FOR 2023:

PACKAGING PREMIÈRE:

Paris Packaging Week launches the Paris edition of Packaging Première alongside ADF, PCD and PLD.

The first Packaging Première show was held in Milan in 2017 and the event has built an unparalleled reputation for promoting high-quality design and innovation in luxury product packaging. The Paris edition focuses on packaging for products in the fashion, accessory, luxury retail and fine food sectors. The exhibition is supported by a dedicated conference programme that will present viewpoints from major designers and luxury brands.

PARTNERSHIP WITH FEA: Paris Packaging Week and FEA have teamed up to further cement ADF’s reputation as the premier global show for aerosol innovation.

In 2023, ADF is being organised for the first time in partnership with FEA (a federation of 28 national associations in the European aerosol industry). This brings new strength to the ADF show, supporting and increasing its importance and influence on a global scale. The association will use its expertise to develop ADF’s approach to key issues that impact the aerosol industry, notably during the Talks sessions, and to create outstanding opportunities for brands, fillers and suppliers to network.

Paris Packaging Week event director Josh Brooks says, “Paris Packaging Week’s four shows are the premier annual gathering for everyone involved in packaging innovation and design. We are excited to return to our traditional January timeslot in January and to bring together the leading innovators and brands in Paris, where beauty, luxury, premium drinks and personal care are iconic sectors of the economy. “We are proud to help stakeholders in these industries innovate and work together to find solutions to the major challenges they face, including eco-design, sustainable development, digitalisation, new consumer demands and the current economic situation. In this way, the event will provide a vision of the future for the French and international brands and manufacturers that are part of this highly-creative and innovative industry.” In addition to four simultaneous but separate shows attended by more than 600 exhibitors and leading companies like L’Oréal, Chanel, LVMH, Coty, Pernod Ricard and Rémy Cointreau, the 2023 edition of Paris Packaging Week will offer a range of key features designed to inspire the packaging community and respond to key issues in various sectors, including sustainability, the metaverse, the growth of e-commerce, and much more.
  • Four Talks theatres featuring conferences and round tables for each sector – beauty, beverage, luxury and aerosols – with talks from by top experts in each industry.
  • Multiple networking opportunities to facilitate discussion and collaboration between brands and suppliers.
  • The ACD, PCD and PLD Innovation Awards ceremonies that recognise the most innovative packaging from the past year in the international beauty, beverage and aerosol markets.
  • The Pentawards gallery, featuring world-leading design from brands curated by the Pentawards, the world’s leading international packaging design competition.
