Lorenz Bäumer designs scented jewellery piece for Guerlain

Le Secret de la Reine is a scented jewellery piece in the shape of a queen bee; its diamond laden, white gold chain necklace enables it to be worn as a brooch or a pendant. This design blends traditional and modern craftsmanship techniques including diamond cutting, jewel-setting and 3D printing.

Thanks to a mechanism inspired by watchmaking, the consumer presses on the pear-shaped two-carat diamond to open the wings. The bee’s body, made of 3D printed gold with a honeycomb motif, appears inside.
