Press release | PCD Innovation Awards winners announced on the opening day of Paris Packaging Week

The PCD Innovation Awards set the tone of the opening day of Paris Packaging Week 2024, taking centre stage to champion and celebrate the most technically innovative and beautiful packs in perfume, cosmetics, personal care, hair care, and skincare.

Paris, 17/01/24 – The opening day of Paris Packaging Week saw the winners of the prestigious PCD Innovation Awards, the world’s leading packaging innovation event for perfume, cosmetics and personal care, crowned.

The jury, which included representatives from powerhouse brands such as Chanel, Cartier, Interparfums, L’Oréal, The Estée Lauder Companies, and Groupe Clarins, among others, and led by Jury President and packaging expert Hervé Bouix, convened on December 14, 2023, at Jujin New York to select the winners from an initial pool of over 220 entries.

In total, 15 awards and 10 certificates were handed out across the nine categories contested, with Jury President Bouix and the esteemed Jean Louis Mathiez, owner of innovative cosmetic packaging experts, Cinqpats, presiding over the ceremony on the Circular Economy Stage during the afternoon session on Day 1 of Paris Packaging Week.

All finalist entries were on display in a dedicated Innovation Awards Gallery at Paris Packaging Week, the home of packaging innovation, with over 10,000 expected visitors set to descend on the global capital of luxury and beauty, specifically Paris Expo Port de Versailles.

Naïma Havard, Senior Packaging Development Project Manager at LVMH Frangrance Brands who won the certificate for ‘Flower By Kenzo Ikebana Eau de Parfum’ says “We’re so pleased and honoured to have received a certificate for this project, which was very difficult, as it integrates the innovation of a glass hood. We worked in partnership with the group Pochet who were very professional and never gave up. So, this certificate is a representation of hard work, and for a year-and-a-half of dedication to creating something special for the cosmetic industry.”

Across the next two days, Paris Packaging Week’s four exhibitions – ADF, PCD, PLD and Packaging Première- will allow visitors to meet more than 650 suppliers – including more than 400 at PCD, showing the latest materials and formats.
