TUBEX recognised for key role in award-winning adidas spray product

TUBEX Rangendingen, in collaboration with its partner DFNS, received prestigious recognition at the ADF Innovation Awards during Paris Packaging Week 2025.

The company earned an award for the innovative design and functionality of the aluminium can used for its adidas CARE by DFNS Footwear Protector powered by alu-air.

Additionally, TUBEX was awarded an ADF certificate in partnership with PPG for the co-development of a groundbreaking internal coating, specifically designed for wine and wine-based beverages in aluminium bottles.

TUBEX expressed their excitement over playing a pivotal role in DFNS’ achievement at the ADF Innovation Awards. According to TUBEX, their expertise in aerosol can tooling was crucial to the development of the adidas CARE by DFNS Footwear Protector can, which stood out for its sleek design and advanced functionality.

The aluminium can incorporates alu-air technology, reducing emissions by 79% compared to traditional aerosol cans.

TUBEX highlighted that this environmentally friendly innovation shows how sustainability can seamlessly align with exceptional design, stating “The adidas CARE aluminium can is an eyecatcher on the point of sale and testament that sustainability and design perfectly match.”
