Innovation Awards spotlight | ALUWOOD

In December 2025, our prestigious jury — featuring leading names including L’Oréal, Coty, European Aerosol Federation (FEA), Unilever International, and many more – came together to evaluate the entries for the ADF Innovation Awards. The winners were then unveiled, celebrated, and honoured at the inaugural Innovation Awards Gala, held on the eve of Paris Packaging Week 2026.

Please describe the concept you are entering. What does it do? What problem does it solve? Where are its potential applications?

This new and exclusive 3D printing technology developed by ENVASES GROUP makes it possible to reproduce the look and feel of wood on an aluminium bottle, faithfully replicating both its texture and visual appearance. This concept transforms the aluminium bottle into a true sensory experience.

The technology is available across our entire range of bottles, from 30 ml to 500 ml, with various neck options including 1 inch, screw neck and FEA15. It supports aluminium content up to 100% PCR recycled material, without compromising mechanical strength or product resistance. It can also be combined with our fully integrated hot foil stamping process.

How has the product been developed and why is it a significant innovation ?

This concept was developed to combine two sustainable materials, aluminium and wood. By using suitable accessories, it becomes possible to pair an aluminium bottle with a wooden cap within the same packaging, creating a functional, warm and visually appealing solution.

This approach is fully aligned with the growing demand for sustainable and recyclable materials, while maintaining a premium aesthetic and high performance.

Has the pack been tested and proven in a production environment? Is it scalable

This bottle was entirely manufactured on our production line in a fully automated process, without any manual intervention. It therefore fully meets all the quality and strength standards that define our products, as well as those required by our clients in the perfumery, cosmetics, and makeup sectors. It is therefore fully operational as of today.
