A signature Dior bag becomes the inspiration for a new fragrance
Dior continues its dialogue between fashion and perfumery with Cuir Saddle, a creation by Francis Kurkdjian directly inspired by its iconic bag. Conceived as a “skin-on-skin” sensation, this unisex fragrance reinterprets the leather accord in a softer, more luminous way, while extending the House’s aesthetic universe all the way to the bottle.
The launch of Cuir Saddle is part of Dior’s Collection Privée, a showcase for its most exclusive creations. Through this new fragrance, the House continues to explore its heritage by translating its emblematic codes into the language of perfume. This approach highlights the growing importance of perfumery as a natural extension of its other areas of expertise, on par with couture and accessories.
Entrusted to Francis Kurkdjian, the composition also reflects Dior’s intention to evolve its olfactory writing around its historic signatures. Here, the perfumer offers a contemporary interpretation of a central material in the brand’s universe, in line with the vision he has been developing since taking on the role of creative director of perfumes.
