The Macallan reunites with trio of artists for The Romantica Collection
Scotch whisky purveyor The Macallan has unveiled The Romantica Collection, a trio of whiskies whose labels and secondary packaging boast artwork by three acclaimed artists.
Sir Peter Blake, Valerio Adami and Michael Dillon are the artists at the heart of The Macallan’s latest release. The Macallan Romantica Collection comprises 258 bottles (86 bottles of each artist’s edition) from a single sherry seasoned European oak cask that was filled and laid down in 1986.
Each artist created artwork adorning both the bottle label and the wooden secondary packaging. Sir Peter Blake’s work imagines a celebratory crowd, while Michael Dillon’s landscape painting captures The Macallan distillery and the surrounding landscape. Valerio Adami’s composition depicts a lady, moon and stars.
