Inside the packaging of Bottega Veneta’s Alta fragrance collection
Bottega Veneta’s Alta fragrance collection pairs a refillable glass flacon reproducing the brand’s Intrecciato leather weave with a bespoke wooden cap and a zamak collar.
While Bottega Veneta’s (Kering Beauté) first fragrance offering under creative director Matthieu Blazy in 2024 featured bottles with an organic aesthetic and microbubbles inserted into the glass, the brand’s new Alta range reproduces its signature Intrecciato woven-leather pattern. Produced by glassmaker Heinz Glas, the flacon is made with 15% PCR glass.
The glassmaking challenge
Kering Beauté says production presented technical challenges, notably creating the relief with a simple-opening mold—which demanded an optimized relief geometry to preserve visual sharpness and ensure consistent release—and tightly controlling the glass weight. Re-fire polishing was tuned to produce a smooth surface and avoid an orange-peel effect without blurring the Intrecciato pattern.
