Diageo adjusts its sustainability and packaging targets
The group is revising its environmental ambitions, focusing on more recycled content but relaxing some of its initial commitments.
In 2025, Diageo announced that it had exceeded its target of 35% recycled content, reaching 43% for PET bottles. Overall, the proportion of recycled materials in packaging stands at 46%, with a revised target of 50% by 2030.
While it initially aimed for 60% recycled content, a 10% reduction in packaging weight and 100% renewable energy, Diageo has revised these targets. However, the company remains committed to its major goal of achieving carbon neutrality by 2050.
