Take your rightful place at last
The PLD Innovation Awards celebrate the most creative, elegant and strategic packaging in the wine, spirits and premium drinks sector. Design, storytelling, materials, user experience and sustainability: every detail counts when it comes to transforming packaging into a true brand signature.
Taking part means adding your innovation to a legacy recognised across the industry, having your work assessed by a jury of experts, and being honoured at the opening gala evening of Paris Packaging Week, in front of an audience of brands, experts, the media and industry leaders.

Entries may be submitted by a brand, a supplier, an agency or any other partner that has contributed to the development of the packaging. Where an entry is submitted by a supplier or a partner, the prior consent of the brand that owns the product is required.
Important: Each entry must be accompanied by three complete samples of the finished product, as it is currently marketed or intended to be marketed. The judging panel assesses the packaging as a whole.
The following will not be accepted as samples on their own: a label, a cap, a closure, etc. Prototypes or models cannot be assessed.
Special case – Packaging Redesign: the entry must include the finished product in its old packaging and the finished product in its new packaging.
Unless otherwise stated, the categories are open to all alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks.
Three samples required (except for products costing more than €300): The judges assess the packaging as a whole. Entries must therefore be submitted as a complete finished product. Individual components (label only, bottle only, cap only, etc.) will not be accepted. The product submitted must correspond to the packaging actually sold on the market. Incomplete prototypes, partial models or unassembled components cannot be assessed.

Each Innovation Awards competition is judged by a jury comprising packaging managers from major brands, as well as packaging experts from consultancy firms, design agencies, associations and the media.
There are two rounds of selection. In the first round, the jury chairpersons review all entries and select the best ones for assessment by the full jury. Then, in the second round, the jury meets to review all entries and mark them according to the criteria for each category. The entries with the highest scores will receive an award and, of course, jury members are not permitted to vote for or mark their own projects. Those that fall short of the maximum score required for an Award will receive a certificate. Naturally, jury members who are part of the brand that has submitted a product entry are not permitted to vote for or mark their own products.
The winners will be announced at the Innovation Awards gala on the evening before Paris Packaging Week 2027.
