ADF Innovation Awards
Who can enter?
The ADF Innovation Awards are open to products that have launched, or are due to launch, on the European or international market between December 2024 and November 2025.
Depending on the category, entries can be submitted by anyone involved in developing packaging using aerosols and dispensing systems – so if you work at a brand owner, a design agency or a packaging manufacturer, you are eligible to enter the Awards. We recommend that, where possible, you seek the collaboration and/or approval of any clients or stakeholders in the pack’s development.
Criteria
Judges will be looking for packs that demonstrate true innovation in at least one of the following areas:
- Technical innovation in production, processing, filling or formulation
- Sustainability-related innovations
- Consumer experience innovations in decoration, shape, ergonomics or ease of use
- Innovations that create a new market opportunity
- Excellence in production
Categories
The categories in the ADF Innovation Awards 2025 are as follows:
- NEW: Suppliers – Packaging component
- This new category is aimed at suppliers who can submit packaging elements that include essential components for aerosol or dispensing systems, such as cans, valves, caps, etc.
- FEA Aerosol Technology of the Year
- Brand owner – Personal Care
- Brand owner – Household
- Brand owner – Pharmaceutical & Veterinary
- Brand owner – Food
- Brand owner – Industrial & Technical Applications
- Concept of the Year
- This category is open to products that are new innovations from packaging manufacturers that are not yet in use by a brand owner or end user.
- Sustainable Innovation
PCD Innovation Awards
Who can enter?
The PCD Innovation Awards are open to products that have launched, or are due to launch, on the European or international market between December 2023 and November 2024.
IMPORTANT: Entries to the PCD Innovation Awards may be submitted by brand owners only.
We recommend that, where possible, you seek the collaboration or approval of any clients or stakeholders in the pack’s development to enter the awards.
Criteria
Judges will be looking for packs that demonstrate true innovation in at least one of the following areas:
- Technical innovation in production, processing or filling
- Sustainability-related innovations
- Consumer experience innovations in decoration, shape, ergonomics or ease of use
- Innovations that create a new market opportunity
- Excellence in production

- Personal care and haircare – Premium & Mass Market
- Skincare – Premium & Mass Market
- Make-up – Premium & Mass Market
- Fragrances – Women, Men & Unisex
- Limited Edition Pack: products sold on the market > 2000 pieces
- Limited Edition Pack: exceptional products < 2000 pieces
PLD Innovation Awards
Who can enter?
The PLD Innovation Awards are open to products that have launched, or are due to launch, on the European or international market between December 2023 and November 2024.
Entries to the PLD Innovation Awards may be submitted by brand owners, packaging manufacturers or design agencies with the agreement of the brands.
We recommend that, where possible, you seek the collaboration or approval of any clients or stakeholders in the pack’s development.
Criteria
Judges will be looking for packs that demonstrate true innovation in at least one of the following aspects:
- Technical innovation in production, processing or filling
- Sustainability-related innovations
- Consumer experience innovations in decoration, shape, ergonomics or ease of use
- Design
Categories
The Awards are open to all of the following products: sparkling wine and champagne, still wine, spirits and liquors, beers and ciders, soft drinks and mixers. Please note that only the final products will be considered.
The categories in the PLD Innovations Awards 2025 are as follows:
- Mass Market Innovation (product must be <15€)
- Premium Innovation (product must be between 15€ – 30€)
- Super & Ultra Premium Innovation (product must be between 30€ – 100€)
- Luxury Innovation (product must be between 100€ – 1000€)
- Hyper luxe and bespoke (product must be > 1000€)
- Sustainable and/or Refillable Innovation
- Packaging Redesign
- Value Added Packaging
- E-Commerce
- NEW: Ritual of service
- This category is open to promotional items created by packaging teams that are linked to the rituals of serving a drink and are designed to enhance the experience for the brand when consuming the product. These may include ice buckets, glorifiers and other items used to enhance the ritual of serving in bars, restaurants, retail or domestic environments. Please note that this category is not intended for large-scale promotional and point-of-sale material, furniture or general promotional items.
