PAWI wins two awards at the European Carton Excellence Award 2024
The innovative packaging solution for Medela AG won in the “Sustainability” category, while the packaging for the Samarité care line was victorious in the “General Packaging – Virgin Fibre” category.
The award-winning packaging for Medela AG exemplifies the focus on sustainability within the packaging industry: specially developed for bottles and teats, it is completely plastic-free. In addition to its environmental benefits, the packaging features an impressively sophisticated design: the clever auto-lock bottom allows a quick set-up, while the option of flat delivery optimises transport costs; furthermore, features such as a Euro hole hanger and an insert for different bottle sizes make the packaging exceptionally user-friendly.
The packaging for Zeme Pharm’s Samarité care line, which won an award in the “General Packaging – Virgin Fibre” category, impresses with its combination of elegance and functionality: made of bright white cardboard coated and printed on both sides, it is pleasant to the touch thanks to the application of a soft-touch finish; delicate golden highlights, applied using a hot stamping process, lend the packaging an exclusive and elegant look and feel.
The European Carton Excellence Award, organised by Pro Carton and the European Carton Makers Association (ECMA), is one of the most prestigious awards in the packaging industry. The award ceremony took place on 19 September 2024 at a celebratory gala in Berlin, Germany.
