Protact®
Protact® polymer-coated steel is food-safe and optimised for efficient, sustainable canmaking with opportunities for differentiated brand performance. Simpler supply chain Protact polymer-coated steel removes up to five non-core, cost-intensive unit operations associated with the use of lacquers and tinplate. This means you can simplify your supply chain and eliminate stockholdings – allowing you to focus on your core business. Higher efficiency Protact allows simplified and shorter canmaking lines on a smaller physical footprint. Leaner, more efficient canmaking means you can scale up manufacture economically. Protact’s extra width – up to 1220mm – can help you to maximise yield. More sustainable With Protact, there is no emission of volatile organic compounds (VOCs) during canmaking. By dispensing with lacquer-related operations, your canmaking process consumes less energy and water. Protact is infinitely recyclable with no loss of quality.

Protective coating
With the anti-shatter coating on glass bottles, we get the chemical resistance of glass combined with the safety that only plastic otherwise offers. The glass bottles are coated with a natural-colored special polyethylene. The raw material is brought to the surface of the glass bottle using a special process and combines there to form a seamless, perfectly fitting plastic jacket. The plastic coating reduces the susceptibility of the glass to breakage. It forms a seamless, perfectly fitting plastic coating. If the glass bottle does break after a fall, the intact plastic jacket can prevent the contents from escaping, allowing for proper disposal and reducing the risk of injury. These properties make glass bottles with anti-shatter coating ideal for handling hazardous substances. Theoretically, almost every bottle in our range can be provided with this special coating.

PST Line C - Compact Size. Extra Power
The new PST Line C is an advanced compact in-line system for applying a stable high-quality varnish and metal coating to different substrate materials. Despite the small size, it can automatically process up to 7800 pieces per hour, while guaranteeing the highest standard of quality of finish set by the packaging manufacturers. The advantages of the automated PST Line C system are indeed significant: very minimal floor space, small overall investment, full control of the entire process managed by a single operator, highest efficiency in UV varnish consumption and waste reduction. The PST Line C grants the same concept as the PST Line II, where objects move through a chain transport reaching all the different stations: from manual loading & offloading, cleaning & pretreatment, primer coating, UV base coating, metallization to UV top coating. New formats are quick and easy to set-up. Different configurations can be stored in the system for instant recall and fast changeover, enabling short production runs for greater flexibility

PST Line II - New In-line 3D Sputtering coating system
The new state-of-the-art PST Line II is an in-line modular system for applying a stable, high-quality varnish and metal coating to different substrate materials. Its unparalleled capacity can automatically process up to 7800 pieces per hour, while guaranteeing consistently excellent quality while using less varnish. It is the economical and eco-friendly answer to the needs of packaging manufacturers worldwide. The PST Line II consists of several modules integrated together and dependent on the customer’s requirement. Supported by Tapematic engineers, PST Line II can be customised according to the required workflow and products in order to achieve an optimal metallization and UV coating process. The advantages of the automated PST Line II coating system are significant: dramatic economy savings in staff and material costs, increased capacity, faster changeovers and a process free of operator variables. It brings next level efficiency to both the varnishing and metallization process.
