Gilles Swyngedauw

Gilles joined Albéa in 2017 to lead Corporate Social Responsibility and Innovation. Gilles has been instrumental in shaping a robust and integrated strategy and roadmaps for responsible packaging, in line with the challenges of our time. Last year, he was appointed Vice-President of Corporate Social Responsibility and Packaging Sustainability for the Cosmetics and Fragrances division. Gilles has nearly 30 years’ experience in packaging in Europe, the United States and Asia. He began his career as a process engineer at Pechiney Packaging and worked for several years in Production before moving into Product Development and then Marketing. Before joining Albéa, Gilles spent 11 years in Singapore as R&D and Process Development Manager for Amcor Flexibles Asia Pacific.
