Press release | Winners of the Innovation Awards 2026 kick off Paris Packaging Week 2026
Paris, 5 February 2026 – Innovation took centre stage on the eve of Paris Packaging Week as the winners of the Innovation Awards 2026 were unveiled at an exclusive gala evening held on Wednesday,4th February. The awards honor the most groundbreaking packaging projects in the beauty, drinks, aerosol, and luxury sectors.
Selected from more than 260 international entries, the winners were chosen following rigorous jury deliberations in December, where industry experts evaluated projects against the highest standards of creativity and functionality.
The awards were presented at Pavillon Vendôme, Place Vendôme, in an exclusive gala attended by leading figures from the global packaging industry.
This edition marks a new step for the Innovation Awards with a fully dedicated evening designed as a key moment to highlight the sector’s most remarkable achievements, encourage casual networking and officially open Paris Packaging Week 2026. In total, 31 awards (including 1 joint award), 33 certificates of excellence and 2 special prizes were presented across four major categories, celebrating excellence, creativity and boldness in packaging design and development
PCD Innovation Awards 2026: sensory and premium experiences at the heart of cosmetic packaging
At this year’s edition, the PCD Innovation Awards once again highlighted the most innovative packaging in the perfume, cosmetics and personal care sectors and presented no fewer than 12 awards including 1 joint award. The selected projects share a common focus on responsible and premium sensory experiences. Each product transforms an everyday gesture into an immersive ritual by combining refined design, sustainable materials and technical innovation in the service of aesthetics and performance. Whether an ergonomic mascara, a fragrance with micro-sensory bubbles or a refillable cream jar, each pack reflects a premium and conscious approach designed to extend the user experience while respecting the environment.
PLD Innovation Awards 2026: packaging that combines ingenuity, aesthetics and emotion
The PLD Innovation Awards recognised 8 winners, 4 certificates of excellence and 2 special jury mentions, celebrating projects ranging from ultra-premium spirits cases to interactive packaging redefining brand experience. These distinctions highlighted innovation that is both functional and experiential, where each creation goes beyond simply protecting the product, adding emotion, purpose, and a unique identity. Smart materials and thoughtful design combine to improve usability and elevate the overall experience.
From a self-stabilising beer pack integrating coasters to finely engraved bottles and premium gift boxes combining aesthetics, storytelling and craftsmanship, each awarded project embodies technical and creative excellence in the service of a demanding and memorable consumer experience.
ADF Innovation Awards 2026: technical performance in the service of sustainability
For the 2026 edition, the ADF Innovation Awards rewarded innovations that push the limits of aerosol engineering with a clear common thread: optimising every component to reduce environmental impact without compromising performance. A total of 5 awards and 3 certificates were presented to the most innovative projects by an expert jury (Unilever International, Procter & Gamble, Comité Français des Aérosols…).
“These Innovation Awards are not insignificant. They provide a way to assess the dynamism of the industry, reflected in the impressive number of entries received once again this year,” explains Jean Blottière, General Delegate of the Comité Français des Aérosols. Alain d’Haese, Secretary General of the European Aerosol Federation, adds: “These awards are an incredible tool to motivate teams, particularly younger ones, who invest a great deal of energy in each project. It is difficult to know what the future will bring, which is why supporting talent and emerging trends is essential.”
Packaging Première Premium & Luxury Awards 2026: a new benchmark for exceptional packaging
In 2026, the Packaging Première Premium & Luxury Awards join the prestigious Innovation Awards selection of Paris Packaging Week for the first time. This new programme highlights the most remarkable packaging innovations from the luxury world. These awards recognise creativity and excellence from brands in jewellery, watchmaking, fashion, fine food and premium accessories, sectors that are still under-represented in major packaging competitions. They celebrate packaging where design, innovation, sustainability and desirability come together to enhance brand experience. To guarantee the high standards of these distinctions, a high-level international jury composed of packaging leaders and creative visionaries from luxury houses (Louis Vuitton, BVLGARI, Diptyque…) carefully evaluated the projects.
In total, 6 awards and 8 certificates of excellence were presented, celebrating technical and creative excellence across projects ranging from premium cases and gift boxes to sustainable and highly personalised solutions.
“This first edition is a foundational phase for a new category, which is set to expand next year in order to increase the number of projects and diversify profiles. The preparatory phase went very smoothly, thanks to excellent organization and structure, particularly under the leadership of Christelle (Anya). Beyond design and technicality, we emphasize strong environmental responsibility, incorporating performance and functionality objectives. This applies in particular to B2B packaging subject to intensive use cycles, which must combine durability, quality of execution, creativity, and technical ingenuity,“ explains Olivier Gaugey, Perfumes Development & Operations Senior Director at Bvlgari and President of the Packaging Première Premium & Luxury Innovation Awards.
