Candles go couture with Dior’s latest home fragrance launch
Dior’s new candles come in 11 different scents. The lacquered black glass jars have a removable base that can be interchanged with one dressed in an iconic print of the maison: Toile de Jouy, monogram, houndstooth…
Dior (LVMH) has added new scented candles to its La Collection Privée line. Paying hommage to emblematic addresses of the maison, this year their new design revisits the line’s signature gadroon motif.
The candle jar made of pressed glass is produced by French glassmaker La Rochère and lacquered in black by Val Laquage. The hue contrasts with that of the textured label that evokes the feel of fabric.
The jar comes in two parts—the removable base is engraved with the brand logo, and can be interchanged with one sporting an iconic Dior fashion print. These include houndstooth, cannage, Toile de Jouy, and the Oblique monogram, available in fabric or leather.
