Press release | Pentawards 2026 crowns French design talent as 100 outstanding packaging designs prepare for Paris

Following a standout night for French design talent, the international packaging community will reunite in Paris for the third Pentawards Festival on 3 & 4 February 2027.

Pentawards gala 2026

Paris, 22 October 2026 – Barely a week after the Pentawards 2026 gala celebrated the world’s finest packaging design, attention is turning to Paris, where 100 outstanding designs will be showcased at Paris Packaging Week on 3 & 4 February 2027.
French agencies were among the night’s biggest success stories. Servaire & Co was named Design Agency of the Year after securing eight trophies from ten shortlisted entries, while GOOD PEOPLE WANDER was jointly crowned Best Newcomer. Across the competition, French brands, designers and manufacturers collected Platinum, Gold, Silver and Bronze awards spanning beauty, luxury, beverages and sustainability.

The Pentawards Festival returns for its third edition at Paris Expo Porte de Versailles, bringing award-winning design to a wider community of brands, manufacturers and packaging specialists. An international winners’ gallery, expert talks and live art will offer opportunities to explore the work, meet creative talent and exchange ideas.

Jennifer Clements, Head of Pentawards at Easyfairs UK, said: “The best packaging design makes us look at something familiar in an entirely different way. France has had an extraordinary year, but what’s equally exciting is the diversity of ideas emerging from designers around the world. The festival is an opportunity to celebrate that creativity, explore the thinking behind it and recognise the people pushing packaging design forward.”

French design makes its mark at Pentawards 2026

Servaire & Co’s Platinum-winning Darphin Stimulskin Plus was among the standout French designs unveiled at the gala. Inspired by the skin’s cellular matrix, its sculptural metallic casing houses a refillable glass core containing 30% recycled material, while reducing packaging weight by up to 47%.

Moët Hennessy Travel Retail secured Gold for Hennessy The Privileged Moment, an invitation-only cognac experience centred on a handcrafted oakwood Cabinet of Curiosity. GOOD PEOPLE WANDER collected Gold for its work with historic French playing-card brand Grimaud and Silver for Diageo Rare Series, while AROS GROUP received Silver and Bronze for Paper Palette, a mono-material paper cosmetic compact.

The depth of French achievement extended to Dragon Rouge, Lonsdale, DAPY PARIS, Carrefour and Studio Matte, whose award-winning work spanned brand identity, luxury presentation and consumer packaging.

A wine label made from sediment claims Pentawards' highest honour

A wine label made from the sediment of its own fermentation claimed the Diamond Award at last week’s Pentawards gala. Created by Croatian agency Studio Sonda for Piquentum Brut Nature, the design combines recovered sediment with the winemaker’s paper waste to produce a ‘living label’ that continues to evolve over time.

Elsewhere, Platinum awards recognised three very different approaches to packaging design: The Kraft Heinz Company’s HEINZ Dipper, a fries carton with an integrated ketchup compartment; Even Realities’ Mono-Kinetic, a single-material packaging system for augmented-reality glasses; and Australian Vintage’s Poco Vino, a colourful, stackable 187ml wine format.

The next stop for award-winning design: Paris

Under the theme Let’s Be Real, the festival will celebrate the craft, human insight and creative experimentation behind outstanding packaging design, while confronting the realities facing the industry, including sustainability, economic pressures and the changing business of design.

The winners’ gallery will give visitors the chance to experience 100 outstanding designs up close. Confirmed exhibits include Servaire & Co’s Patrón Core Range and Johnnie Walker x Olivier Rousteing: The Couture Flask, GOOD PEOPLE WANDER’s Canard-Duchêne x Pangea and Diageo Rare Series, and Dragon Rouge’s Ministerio del café. International highlights include Hunter Luxury’s Jack Daniel’s x McLaren Halo MK1 Limited Edition, Jones Knowles Ritchie’s Schweppes and PepsiCo’s Doritos & Cheetos Simply NKD 2025.

Beyond the gallery, the festival will feature expert talks, live art and opportunities to connect with leading creative talent. Brands and agencies such as L’Oréal, Hotel Chocolat, Rémy Cointreau, Nespresso, Estée Lauder, Servaire & Co, JDO, Pearlfisher and Dragon Rouge regularly take part, bringing together perspectives from across the packaging design community.

Noura Moussa, Head of Marketing at Paris Packaging Week, said: “Great packaging starts with great design. Our partnership with Pentawards puts creativity at the centre of Paris Packaging Week, bringing together the world’s most exciting design talent and the brands and innovators driving the industry forward. It’s about celebrating the power of design, inspiring new thinking and opening up opportunities for the entire packaging community.”

Paris Packaging Week 2027 takes place on 3 & 4 February at Paris Expo Porte de Versailles. Registration is now open for visitors looking to explore the Pentawards Festival, discover outstanding packaging design and connect with the creative minds behind it.
