How to enter the ADF, PCD and PLD Innovation Awards
FAQs
Anyone involved in the creation of the packaging may enter – be it the brand owner, the packaging manufacturer or the design agency. We encourage you to work in collaboration with your project partners to create the best possible entry.
And remember, participation is FREE.
Yes – a pack has to be for a product that is on the market, meaning the product has to be available for consumers to buy in retail. And it needs to have launched in retail channels between 1 December 2021 and 30 November 2022.
There is one exception to this – the Concept of the Year category in the ADF Innovation Awards. This category is for innovative products that have been developed by brands, packaging manufacturers or agencies that are not yet on the market – but that have the potential to revolutionise the market.
Each programme of Innovation Awards is judged by a panel of senior packaging developers at major brand owners, as well as packaging experts from consultancies, design agencies, associations and the media.
There are two rounds of judging. In the first round, our jury presidents consider all the entries and make a selection of the best to go forward to be judged by the full jury. Then, in the second round, the jury meet to consider all the packs and score them according to the criteria for each category. The highest scoring packs are the winners – and, needless to say, judges are not allowed to vote on or score their own projects. Those who score less than the maximum score for an Award, will receive a certificate.
